So, we are already into the middle of January, and although we may be in the middle of a pandemic, New years’ resolutions are still at the front of a lot of people’s minds.
You may have made 1 or 2 personal resolutions that you committed to making this year, but I have put together a list of the resolutions that I believe will bring you success in both your personal and professional life.
They are tasks that are easy to implement and even easier to stick to when they start to bring success, and it is never too late to put them into practise.
- Declutter- An organised home or workspace leads to an organised mind. The new year is a great time for a good clear out of anything that is holding you back or taking up space. Especially with us all spending more time at home.
- Learn when to let go – It is important to realise when something isn’t going to work. Whether this be a product or service that you sell for your business or a new routine you are trying at home, if the signs are showing its not going to work, then learn to let go and move on.
- Consistency – Whether it be in your day-to-day life, or at work, consistency is a key element to success. If you have your own business, be sure to consistently promote your services and products. Similarly, at home, try to stick to housework or cooking routines.
- Set realistic goals – It can be easy to set yourself goals that are too big. Research shows that if we are unable to achieve our goals, it can deter us from setting ourselves anymore. So, don’t set yourself up for failure. Make your resolutions practical and easy to manage.
- Make your mental health a priority – This one is really important right now. The pandemic has hit us all in many different ways. People often say we are all in the same boat, but this is not true. Some are on a yacht sailing through unaffected, but some are on a driftwood raft paddling for their lives. It is essential that you take time away from everything to check in on you! Get out in the fresh air when you can and allow yourself off days.
- Be prepared for change – 2020 was a rollercoaster of a year, it has plummeted us into the unknown and can be a scary time. We have now had almost a year of living in a pandemic and although the vaccine looks to be our way out, we are still looking at a turbulent year ahead-Be prepared for plans and commitments to have to change.
Whether you try to implement all of these into your life, or just a couple, they are sure to really help you on your journey to success.
Here is to a great 2021!
